Built from real IT experience. Explained for everyday use.
Funifytools is an independent web project created by Jay Finn. It brings together practical browser tools, calculators, interactive IT simulations, and beginner-friendly technical guides with one goal: make useful technology easier to use and easier to understand.

About the creator
The experience behind Funifytools
Hi, I'm Jay Finn, the creator and maintainer of Funifytools. I'm an IT professional, project manager, developer, writer, and educator based in South Korea.
From computer science to real-world IT
I studied Computer Science at university and later earned an M.S. in Mechatronics IT, specializing in Smart Factory technologies. I currently work in the IT industry and have more than 10 years of professional experience at a major Korean IT company, with extensive experience in IT projects, software development, and Smart Factory initiatives.
Throughout my career, I have managed multiple IT initiatives and contributed to numerous software development, system implementation, and Smart Factory projects. My work involves translating technical requirements into practical systems, coordinating stakeholders, and collaborating closely with development and operational teams.
Outside of my professional work, I also write accessible articles about IT and share what I have learned through teaching. These experiences shape how I build Funifytools and explain technical topics: grounded in real-world experience, technically accurate and practically useful, while remaining clear enough for non-specialists to understand.
Why Funifytools exists
Useful tools are better when the idea behind them is clear
Many online tools provide an answer without showing enough context, while technical explanations often assume more background knowledge than a beginner has. Funifytools tries to bridge that gap.
01
Solve a practical task
Calculators and utilities are designed around a focused problem, with clear inputs and results rather than unnecessary complexity.
02
Explain the core concept
Guides aim to explain not only what something is, but also how it works, why it matters, and where it appears in real systems.
03
Visualize difficult behavior
Interactive simulations are used where they can make abstract computer concepts easier to understand through observation and experimentation.
04
Design for real use
Pages are built for modern browsers and responsive layouts so that tools remain practical on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
05
Write for learners
Teaching experience shapes the language and structure of technical articles, with a focus on helping readers build understanding step by step.
06
Improve over time
Tools and articles are revised when bugs, unclear explanations, usability issues, outdated information, or better approaches are identified.
How the site is maintained
A practical standard for tools and technical content
Funifytools is an independent project, so transparency matters. These are the working principles used when creating and maintaining pages across the site.
Clear assumptions
Inputs, units, formulas, simplified models, and important assumptions should be understandable wherever they materially affect the result.
Reliable references where needed
Technical explanations may rely on established concepts, documented formulas, specifications, standards, APIs, or authoritative documentation when applicable.
Usability checks
Pages are reviewed for common interface problems, responsive behavior, readable results, and practical use on different screen sizes.
Corrections are welcome
If a calculation, explanation, link, or interface behavior appears wrong or outdated, feedback can be used to review and improve the page.
Transparency & trust
Built with transparency and practical accuracy
Funifytools is independently developed and maintained, with an emphasis on clear explanations, practical usefulness, and transparent handling of data and limitations.
Privacy-conscious browser tools
Funifytools does not require an account for its public tools. Whenever practical, tool inputs and preferences are processed or stored directly in your browser.
Calculators, tools, and simulations are designed to be useful and understandable. When a tool relies on assumptions, simplified models, external data, or reference information, those limitations are explained where appropriate.
Independently built and maintained: Funifytools is developed by Jay Finn, drawing on more than 10 years of professional IT experience, academic study, software development, project management, technical writing, and teaching.
Found something that can be improved?
Questions, corrections, bug reports, outdated explanations, and practical suggestions are welcome. Feedback helps make the tools and learning resources more useful over time.
